Account authorization

If your shipper number is not authorized for Global Checkout, you'll see the error: "Your shipper number is not authorized for global checkout." Contact UPS customer service to enable Global Checkout for your account.

3

Add the shipping configuration and review the rates

To start receiving international orders through UPS Global Checkout:

Check the shipping rates from UPS and load them in WooCommerce

  1. In the admin panel, look for WooCommerce and access Settings and then Shipping
  2. Click Add Zone and fill in the data from the UPS Rates. Configure the shipping method types and for what regions they are
  3. Go back to the UPS Global Checkout plugin and locate the Service Level Mapping section. Create an entry for each shipping method and map them to the service level in the UPS rates

After completing these steps, click Save Changes and you are ready to go live

4

Test your integration

To verify your setup works correctly:

  1. Add item(s) to your cart: We recommend using a higher value (above the de minimis) to ensure that duties and taxes will be due for the order
  2. Go to Checkout
  3. Add an international address to your checkout: You will need to use a real address or you will not get quotes back
  4. Select one of the shipping methods you have configured and mapped in the plugin
  5. If set up correctly, you will see the taxes, duties, and fees under the subtotal

Next steps

Once your basic setup is complete, you can customize your service level mapping and advanced settings in the Settings guide.
