UPS Global Checkout WooCommerce Plugin Settings

Customize your plugin to optimize the international shipping experience for your customers.

After completing the basic setup of your UPS Global Checkout for WooCommerce plugin, you can customize various settings to improve your customers' checkout experience and clearly communicate international shipping costs.

Service level mapping

Take the UPS rates or custom rate sheets and configure them in WooCommerce. The rates need to be added to the platform and kept up to date.

To configure and map the rates:

  1. In the WordPress admin panel, go to WooCommerceSettingsShipping
  2. Click Add Zone and fill in the data from the UPS rates. Configure the shipping method types and the regions they apply to
  3. Go back to the UPS Global Checkout plugin and locate the Service Level Mapping section
  4. Create an entry for each shipping method and map them to the service level in the UPS rates
  5. Click Save Changes

Advanced settings

The advanced settings allow you to customize how the plugin interacts with your checkout page using CSS selectors.

Order fee block selector

  • Input: A CSS query selector
  • Purpose: Blurs the taxes, duties, and fees on the checkout page while they are being calculated

Place order button selector

  • Input: A CSS query selector
  • Purpose: Blocks the place order button while the calculations take place and are shown to the customers

Input selector

  • Input: A CSS query selector
  • Purpose: Triggers a recalculation when there are changes in the inputs. This way, when the user changes the shipping destination, the totals are updated in real time

Debounce delay (ms)

  • Input: A number (in milliseconds)
  • Purpose: Determines the time the code will wait before making a request since the last time an input changes. This prevents too many requests from being made and keeps the UI stable without changing at each keystroke
